The International Conference on Image and Signal Processing (ICISP) is the seventh in the series that has been held since 2001. Historically, ICISP is a conference resulting from the actions of researchers from Canada, France and Morocco. The Université de Caen Basse-Normandie (France), the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (Canada), and the Université Ibn Zohr (Morocco) will organize the 2016 edition of ICISP. This edition will feature renowned invited speakers from France (Jocelyn CHANUSSOT) and Canada (Roland MEMISEVIC and Robert LAGANIERE).

ICISP 2016 aims to provide researchers and practitioners from academia and industry with a forum to report on the latest developments in image and signal processing, multimedia and computer graphics. The conference will also provide a unique opportunity for shearing experiences from different backgrounds with the common interest in advanced methods in the above mentioned fields and in industrial applications. We warmly invite you to participate in this event by submitting your work in all aspects of this field from underlying technologies to applications, and from theory to practice. The technical program will consist in invited talks, oral and poster sessions with topics of general interest in a single track. We particularly encourage submissions from students. Papers are solicited addressing theoretical as well as practical issues related to the conference themes. We look forward to seeing you in Trois-Rivières in 2016 for what will be a most rewarding and exciting experience!

Further to the succesful collaboration between ICISP and the International Symposium on Multispectral Colour Science, MCS2016 will be organized once again as part of ICISP 2016.

As for the 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014 editions, the proceedings of ICISP 2016 will be published by Springer Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science and are listed in the ISI proceedings index.

The conference organizers are pleased to announce that a special issue on the best papers of the international journal "Journal of Multimedia Tools and Applications (JMTA)" (impact factor = 1,346) is planned.

ICISP 2016 will also feature a conference dinner, and other social activities. The social activities will be detailed later.

The conference fee includes the social program (conference dinner, opening reception, and cultural activities), coffee breaks, daily lunches and a copy of the proceedings.
